One of the first countries to protect it's environment by statute, Namibia is a really beautiful country in Southern Africa. Once occupied by the Germany, it is now the Republic of Namibia. It is located on the Atlantic Coast and has diverse scenery. The Namib Desert stretches along the West Coast of the country. In the South, there is the Fish River Canyon, which is a marvellous spectacle and is only surpassed by the Grand Canyon in the USA. Windhoek is the capital city, located in the highlands of the Khomas region.
